Do you accept insurance?

I am not in network with an insurance company. I provide a bill which can be submitted to the insurance company. Often physical therapy services are partially covered with health insurance as an out-of-network service. I will provide reports and complete authorizations free of charge to help with physical therapy reimbursement. I am also available upon request to contact your insurance company regarding physical therapy benefits.

How much does a physical therapy session cost?

An initial evaluation is $200 and a treatment session is $125.

Do you accept credit cards for payment?

Yes, all credit cards are accepted for payment for a physical therapy session. Payment is expected at the end of each session.

What is the duration of a physical therapy initial evaluation and a physical therapy treatment session?

An initial evaluation is one hour. A treatment session is 45 minutes. This may vary according to your child’s tolerance.

Can family members stay in the session?

Yes. It is often helpful to have a family member participate in the session with a baby or a young child. Family involvement in the session helps with carryover of activities and strategies at home. If the child does better alone in the session, that is also an option. A parent’s direct participation in the treatment session is their choice.

Do I need a prescription from a physician to have a physical therapy evaluation or treatment?

No. It is not necessary to have a prescription to initiate and proceed with physical therapy services.

How long will my child need physical therapy?

During the initial physical therapy evaluation, individual goals are designed for your child. Treatment is aimed at achieving these goals. Each child progresses at a different pace. Duration of treatment varies for each child. Duration of treatment is also based on the family and child’s needs and expectations.

Is the physical therapy treatment individual?

Yes, all sessions are individual and one-on-one with the physical therapist (me). Usually there are no other children or families in the office during your child’s treatment sessions.

Family Testimonial…

My daughter started physical therapy at the age of 2 with Michele and I’m so glad she did! Michele was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Her office atmosphere was welcoming, clean, safe, and of course child friendly. My daughter has been with Michele for over a year and asks to see her before our next scheduled session. Not only is there a major improvement physically but also emotionally, socially & verbally.
